Hand forged Plane Hammer/Chisel Mallet Handle:Curly mapleFor adjusting the blades in wooden or wood infill hand planes, these hammers are hand forged from 1045 medium carbon steel for toughness. The 1 2 pound head is then double annealed to be gentle on your plane's iron. The 12 inch long handles are individually fitted with beautifully figured curly maple. These hammers are also available in custom wood selections and in custom sizes, just contact us so we can build one to exactly fit your needs
