Summer at the Seaside Lamp - LargeThis porcelain lamp has been impressed with cow parsley flowers collected from the local countryside. It has then been screen printed with different glaze colours. It was inspired by the joy and inner peace I feel from looking out to sea on a summers day. The way the porcelain lamp looks changes throughout the day, due to the different light levels in the room. When lit the lamp emits an ethereal glow, converting the surface decoration into textures
When I look at this lamp I can imagine sunshine enveloping me in a warm glow

When the cowparsley comes out in May / June time I know that we are heading into the warmer months and the sight of them makes me happy
