To keep the weapon in position and secure, two fastening mechanisms are used. The first locks onto the weapon's rail, the other onto the lamp housing, thus preventing any damage to the firearm. The weapon is released using the proven thumb release, located on the inside of the holster and intuitively operated with the thumb.
