An Arab man stands facing forward in front of a low [ghaf?] tree, holding a rifle over his shoulder. The muzzle of the rifle is stuffed with feathers in order to prevent sand getting into the barrel. The man has a thick dark beard and wears a khanjar (dagger) on a cartridge belt over his coloured thobe (long shirt). He also wears a ghutra (headscarf) tied loosely around his head.
