Vintage '68 Telecaster Neck FiltertronInspired by the mid to late 60's Telecasters that found their way into the hands of the British pub rockers and early punks like Dr. Feelgood and The Clash in the 70's, this set has that scooped, aggressive tone that defined an era. Thanks to the relatively low wind found on Telecaster pickups of this time, they have great clarity and plenty of twang. This neck pickup has AlNiCo 5 magnets and is scatter wound to about 6. 8k with 43awg plain enamel

As standard these pickups are lightly wax potted to allow a more open and detailed sound

Modern versions tend to be overwound and use ceramic magnets

A classic low output neck combined with an overwound thicker-sounding bridge for those want a bit more in the low-end and mids in the bridge position
