Puente de San Pablo, Cuenca giclee print Size:40 x 30 cm/15.75 x 11.8 inThe city of Cuenca in Castila La Mancha in central Spain is famous for the spectacular setting of its old city atop a cliff above the Jcar river and its Casas Colgadas (Hanging Houses) that appear to sit precariously on the cliff's edge. The narrow Puente de San Pablo (Bridge of St. Paul) crosses this gorge at a height of 40 metres. The original bridge, built in the 16th century, collapsed and was replaced by the current, sturdier structure in 1902.
