Smith Woodhouse - Late Bottled Vintage Port 2015 (750ml) RubySmith Woodhouses 2015 Late Bottled Vintage Port was matured in wood for four years. Bottled in 2019, without any fining or filtering, it was then aged in bottle for a further six years in the Smith Woodhouse lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia, prior to release. This prolonged ageing, first in wood and then in bottle is key to the development of the rich and spice forward aromas and flavors that give this Port a style and complexity akin to that of Vintage

especially for a wine of its level and production

and dark bread

raspberry and fig

this blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon is one of the best white wines of the vintage

We escaped the summer without any extreme heat events that would have accelerated ripening
